As we’ve talked about in our post regarding Anime’s Impact on Streetwear, it is undeniable that the animation has grown widespread. With the upcoming release of One Piece: Stampede, the anime written by Eiichiro Oda collaborates with Puma for a new collaboration.
The One Piece x Puma Cell Endura combines both black leather and mesh uppers to resemble the Thousand Sunny, the Straw Hat Pirates’ ship within the anime. Details include a pattern nodding to the devil fruits within the show, such as on the sock liner, while elements of the ship are encapsulated through the brown midsole, rope laces, and gold anchor embellishment attached to the back heel. With the Puma logo on the toe box and Cell Endura model logo on the back, other areas containing One Piece branding include the co-branded insoles. Packaging for the sneaker will also feature a specially designed, black and white box with co-branding.
Take a look at detailed images below of the One Piece x Puma Cell Endura’s, which are releasing alongside Japan’s premiere of One Piece: Stampede on August 9th.
